Hi all,
we have designed new smart forms forms. We got good results when testing these forms in our SAP test-system (the Arial font was printed without a problem). Testing the forms in the production system, we got only printouts containing a font like courier where the Arial fonts had been used. Using the se73 we realized that the printers in our test system contained 4 Arial fonts (shown with a yellow background). Those 4 fonts could not be found by using the se73 in our production system.
What do we have to do to get the missing printer fonts into our production system?
Thanks
create those fonts in production that will only solve ur issue

install in production using SE73....but, why tie your system to a Microsoft-centric font? Arial is, IMHO, a poor copy of the internationally-known, error-free, font called Helvetica, and already supported by every version of SAP that I have ever seen (and I've seen quite a few). Hey, not everybody in the big wide world is a slave to that little Washington state company.
My users wanted Arial, too.....they have it....without hassle...it's called Helvetica and it doesn't have the sizing and spacing errors reportedly introduced into Arial when Helvetica was copied.

We have some legal requirements in china for example to print with arial, too.
Helvetica is not(!) Arial.
Installing new true type fonts on your application server is part of your administrators.
Due to license decisions, Helvetica is still implemented as one of the default fonts.
Arial fonts are accessable for downloading in the service portal (split to different unicode areas).
But you need some things to adjust, when you need full acces like backend print, frontend print, pdf-generation on the application server or full unicode print.
So, please do not implement it on your production enviroment by yourself.
Also you can adjust your forms to Helvetica, because they match to 99percent.
