Manual Batch Determination for BOM

Hi SAP Gurus,

I wo

uld like to ask for ur help regarding this issue.

Issue:

Item Category is not defined.

Message No. VL324.

Scenario:

We used "recursive allowed" for our BOM. Meaning, as below:

10 Material 123 (main)

20 Material 123 (component)

30 Material 456 ( component)

The main item is the same with its component. In this scenario, we successfully explode our BOM. And we didn't encounter any issues.

Now, we uses manual batch determination during creation of delivery. Issue happens when we do manual batch det with BOM w/ recursive. But if BOM is not recirsive,we can successfully do manual batch det.

Suggestion is highly appreciated on this for us to proceed. Thanks so much in advance.

Please search the forum you can find the answers for this error .Issue:Item Category is not defined.Message No. VL324.

Go to T.Code VOV4 & check whether you have to assign the usage CHSP (Batch split) for your item category determination

EX-Sales docItem categoryUsage+default item category

OR NormCHSP+Tan
