BI Acclerator Blade servers backups

Hi,

We have BIA running on HP blade servers and currently we have a procedue where they are taking

backup with some scripts and the scripts are generating some initiator files. ( which are some files on each blade server)

But can anybody provide me the info. how these initiator files are useful in backup / restoration of BIA.

The documentation of SAP shows a different procedure for backup/ restore.

Not really sure what do you mean by "initiators"... in anycase if you are talking about BI Accelerator Backup Blades is a HA solution for enterprise search, so you should stick to the TREX backup/restore procedures IMO.

In anycase I have no experience under this particular subjects so I let others lead the way... do please add as much info as possible to the thread so Its easier to follow.
