Wrong URL for Change-Analysis after Migration

Former Member

Hello,

after a Migration, we have the problem, that some Links in the solman_workcenter are not correct.

I.e. when we try to access change-analysis (solman_workcenter, RCA),

the system tries to open the wrong URL with the old hostname.

Does someone knows, from where the workcenter gets this old datas ?

The parameters in the RZ10 are correct (new name)

kind regards

Christoph

Hello Christoph,

In transaction rz10, select Instance Profile, Extended Maintenance, maintain the proper icm host name parameter. Please restart the system after change the icm parameter, as it is a non-dynamic parameter.

The main notes to perform URL and PORT changes are 1297849 & 805344. Please follow these two notes. I'm sure it will solve your problem.

Best regards,

Hello Guilherme,

thank you for that info...

As i wrote before, the parameters in the rz10 are correct.

Message-Server is correct too....

I still don't know, why the BW generates a wrong URL...

I've checked the two notes and as i understand, the URL is generated in 3 possible steps:

- Applikation-Server (rz10 - okay)

- Message-Server (message-server in System-Info correct)

- Entry in table HTTPURLLOC (Should'nt be the solution...only workaroung for the underlying problem)

So for some reason, the application-server gives old values while the rz10 is correct (and system was restarted several times)

thoughful regards

Christoph

Hello,

What URLs are wrong? In E2E Diagnostics? Please specify the URL and location (which screen).

Table HTTPURLLOC is no workaround, it is the official location where the applications get the URL from. Mainly the BeX URLs come from this location.

Additionally: check

http://<solman>:<port>/smd -> Diagnostics System -> Advanced Setup, check what are the URLs maintained there.

Also please check the FAQ I wrote:

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SM/FAQRootCause+Analysis#FAQRootCauseAnalysis-WhileusingtheSolutionManagerWorkcenter%2ChowcanIknowwhichURLisJAVAandwhichoneisABAP%3F

So you can have a better idea what is wrong.

Hi Guilherme,

thank you for your help.

Your second hint brings the solution....

The entrys in the advanced setup were wrong.

Now the URLs are working correct...

kind regards

Christoph
