Hi,
I'm looking for some info, documentation and pointers on comparing BO reporting on relational universes vs OLAP universes.
Also let me know the pros and cons of the each type, best practices etc. and which one is better?
Any pointers would be helpful.
Thanks and regards,
Abhishek
Hi,
Google Search will answer this best.
Relational vs OLAP are 2 entirely different paradigms.
Obviously, OLAP requires a time-dependent archive of historical information ( a data warehouse), whereas relational Db are normalized structures optimized for transactional data.
What you don't want to do, is position WebI as an OLAP slice and dice analysis tool, or try to recreate BEx workbook requirements into WebI.

H
