Portal URL redirect

hi all,

i need to configure portal redirect and here are steps that i performed.

1) created a dns entry as alias to the portal hostname.

2) deployed webdispatcher

3) used redirect in the pfl file

when i try to login with alias-name/irj/portal , i can not login but if i try to login with host-name/irj/portal i am able to login.

Can someone help whayt could be the reason

we are using LDAP as ume.

- let us see your wdp profile

- when you tried to login with alias-name/irj/portal , what error you got ?

- have you check on web disp trace (level 3) ?

- issue happen if bypass web dispatcher ?
