Sourcing 7.0 on Oracle 11.2

Hi All,

I am trying to install Sourcing 7.0 on an Oracle 11.2 database. I'm trying to install Sourcing on the same server as NetWeaver CE 7.1.

NetWeaver CE is using an Oracle 11.2 database as well. Can I use same the Oracle Home as NetWeaver for the Sourcing install or do I have to configure another Oracle server instance? If so, how do I proceed with that?

All help with this matter is appreciated. I am fairly new to NetWeaver and Sourcing.

Hi,

Yes, you can install Sourcing on the same oracle server where you installed CE7.1

But for sourcing you have to create separate schema and DB SID. Please read the sourcing installation guide.

Everything explained in detail.

Have you referred the Install guide available in the Marketplace? That should be a good place to get started and your questions might get clarified there as well.

Release & Upgrade Info > SAP Business Suite Applications > SAP Sourcing > SAP Sourcing 7.0

You can refer the guides available there specifically "Installation Guide for SAP Sourcing 7.0 w/ Database Oracle"

Please note that you would need a SAP Marketplace ID to access the documents.
