autoextent not use in PRD server because if the large(tranasaction) size more than the given extend size of the file.

Then also we get errors.So better add datafile to the corresponding tablespace by using BRTOLLS.

Could you clarify this statement, please? Even the next size is lower than the transaction size, if the max size and the free storage is good enough, you will not face a problem. What kind of problem you faced?

Hi

When auto extend will be on in PRD it will show a warning massage in db16,

So, you can configure the condition, under DB17. It is not an error, but the warning

Datafiles may be reached to the maximum size. Because of this, you may faced with this message. So, you may need to add a new datafile. To be sure could you provide the exact error, here?

Sometimes correct, but sometimes not. If you calculate and fit the data file size into the storage, you may use autoextend feature. From performance point of view, you can overcome the fragmentation problem, by using large NEXT size.

hi,

autoextent should not be on in PRD server.

you can off from BRtools.
