Hi,

Thanks all for ur reply, we have decided two create two different sales organization as we have two diff. excise registration so the excis einovice number will be different.

I still feel that you can maintain one sales organisation with different series group for excise group based on which, you can manage different number ranges for excise invoices.

It is enough if you do the transaction with one sales organisation. As per your indication, one will be treated as a plant and another as a Depot.

Hellow experts,

Thanks for your reply, just one think I want to confirm, in between the two plants we want STO from plant A to B and PLANT B TO A, so is there any issue in that If i use single sale sorganization, the reason is that in case we purchase the materil in mfg plant then from the excise point of view RG23A register and part1 and part2 will be updated but in some case if we want to sale that materila thorugh Deport plant then we will do STO from mfg to depot so that the excise entry form part1 will be updated as RG3D regsiter in depot lant, so can this be done with single sales organization.

Why not ?? This is a practical scenario where there will be STOs between plant to depot and depot to plant. Coming to updation of registers, as long as the sale is getting updated in any register be it RG23A or RG23D, excise authorities will not raise any objection. Only the Business has to take a decision as to how they want to capture the sales. Accordingly, we can configure.

Hi Zafar

For your requirement, one sales organization is enough.if you are doing STO between plant to plant , plant to depot and depot to plant. But ensure that they are getting updated in RG23A register or not

Hi Zafar,

You dont have to create two sales organization for mfg plant and trading plant. With one Sales organization you can do all the activaity.

Ie sales from mfg plant, sales from trading plant, Stock transfer from one plant to another plant. all the sales related transaction you can cover with one sales organization.,

Like different vendor, material and custom can be handle with one sales organization.

In terms of report SD will have all kings of report from which you can easily identify from this plant how much sales has been done. All the details you can get it.

Try with one sales org only, if any problem ur facing then let me know.

Dear Zafar,

We can do all the activities with same sales organisation. In case of STO you can create a new sales organisation.

Please Specify the issue which you are facing when you are using the same sales org for trading and manufacturing
