GRC CUP SP15 Patch 7 background job escalation busy status always

Hi,

We have GRC CUP SP15 Patch 7.Requests are not escalating to alternate approver coz of background job escalation is always in busy status. First we tried by restarting the java server then it's worked.But we can't start server always.we set schedule type:other,start time:0:00am between 0:00am and 12 :00am,every seconds:300sec sunday through saturday,same for email disp and email rem.email rem and email disp is working fine only issue with escalation.

cache job time interval set to 60 sec.background job time interval set to 1 min.

Please let me know. how this issue can be resolved .

Hi,

If the problem is exactly this: "Request does not escalate to the Alternate Approver after running Escalation background job at Role Owner stage. "

It's solved on 16.2: Note 1168508 - Compliant User Provisioning 5.3 Support Package (VIRAE)

Regarding the Background jobs in AE there're some things to take into account, like:

Note 1228952 - Configuration of Email Reminders job

So, you could try deactivating the job and re-schedule using different times. I guess you don't need to restart the server, just activating and deactivating should work.

Anyway, If you're still in stuck, you could raise a support message and they'll check if there's an error in the application.
