Hi,

We are in the process of setting up our Solution Manager 7.1. Currently we are in the step 'Managed System Configuration'.

We are stuck on the step 7 - "Create Users". There are 4 users to be created which are already there in the systems(Created Manually).

The users are

SAPSUPPORT and SMDAGENT_XXX for ABAP and Java both.

In the ABAP view it gives the error as "No CENTRAL nor DIALOG instance known for system SID".

In the Java view it gives the error as "User Status Cannot be checked".

We are on the below Support Pack status:

Looks like the Central Instance of your system is not correctly defined in the LMDB. You need to edit this though Technical System Editor. After this make sure that SMSY is updated.

Please try the following.

1.) Go to SMSY.

2.) Choose your System and click on Edit. This will take you to Technical System Editor.

3.) Go to Technical Instances --> ABAP Applicaton Server.

4.) Under Technical Instance Name, make sure you have your instance defined in lowercase (host_sid_inst#).

5.) Save/Close and make sure SMSY is updated.

Then, proceed with Managed System Configuration.

Hello,

In the Java view it gives the error as "User Status Cannot be checked".

Please refer to the two solutions in my reply from Dec 6th.

If you have issues with "No CENTRAL nor DIALOG instance known for system SID". in ABAP, follow Ravi reply from Dec 7.

Bst regards,

Guilherme

Hello Ajitabh,

I'm sure that you will see this error if you expand the error entry:

SPML service failed to process searchRequest

1. If you followed the advices from note 1616058, disabling SPML:

When the SPML is desactivated, the status of users can't be checked.

We are working to provide a note to solve this issue. Note number is 1647267, it is not release yet, but the solution is:

"Enable to flag the user creation to 'manually performed' in solman_setup".

2. If you didn't disable SPML:

Please refer to the steps in this SAP Note : 1647157 which will help you address the issue.

Please let us know the outcome, thanks.

Best regards,

Guilherme

Hi Balbiknot,

As i have applied the steps provided in the SAP Note : 1647157 and created the Roles according to it,

And i have assigned all the Admin Users to the particular role through User Management Engine.

But we are still stucked on the step 7 - "Create Users". There are 2 users to be created which are already there in the

systems(Created Manually).

In the ABAP view it gives the error as "No CENTRAL nor DIALOG instance known for system SID".

In the Java view it gives the error as "User Status Cannot be checked".

As we have also raised an OSS Message, but still won't get any reply from SAP.

Kindly help regarding the same.

Thanks & Regards

Jitu go to

Managed System Configuration setup>System Operations->Change..

Check whether Central Instance is assigned correctly or not.Save it & then perform configuring system.
