Thanks Andi,

But how to stop the ESS user to editing the data for ex: my client want to only display the subtype 1 of infotype 0021 but at the same time the user can edit subtype 2 of infotype 0021. How to do this. as i have checed with EP consultant , they are not able to control on subtype level , the changes made for once subtype is reflected to all the subtypes of the infotype.

Thx

you can ask your portal guy if he tries personalization. But I also think that it's subty independant.

So if you're not on EHP5 yet, you can use the NWDI to change the webdynpro for java code. Or built your own applications in Webdynpro for ABAP

Hi Siddarth,

In the link which you have provided it is mentioned that "We need to go for this solution when we have to display all the subtypes of that infotype in read only mode. In case if team needs few subtypes editable and few in read-only then I believe we need to go for custom development.(Point 10"

we are using EHP 5, so i have to go for custome development as for my requerement i need some sub types in display and some in editable mode OR is there any other way to do this.

thx

You would need to do modification then for showing some in display and some in editable mode.

check the WD package ie in Se80

In EhP5 ESS Personal Profile application, in order to change the

Address overview page fields, you need to adapt the Address component

configuration HRESS_CC_PER_OVR_ADDRESS_XX.

Hi Siddharth,

I have a passport entry field which is un-editable in Personal profile application.

To make it editable i changed the use case to A6 (Earlier it was B4) in table V_T7XSSPERSUBTYP.

But still the issue is not yet resolved.Do we need to make any more table entry?

Can you please help with that?

Regards,

Priti
