Hi,
EP7 is a part of SAP Netweaver Main Releases.
CE 7.1 is part of Complementary offerings.
The main idea of CE 7.1 was to build Composite applications. It is not a complete portal.
EP 7 is a complete portal platform with KM.TREX and Collaboration. CE 7.1 doesnu2019t have all these components and it cannot be used as a complete portal platform.
You can integrate CE 7.1 with EP 7 using Federated portal
Below help link will help you on [CE library|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/f2/94388477bd48edaa4616f0bbd28425/frameset.htm]
In developer perspective
EP 7.0 --- we can use JDK 1.4 Version,
CE 7.1 --- we can use JDK 1.5 and Higher Version.
1.In CE NWDS looks like full different. Here we can create Value Node and Value Attributes under Component Controller. Means Right click on Component Controller we will get MVC diagram in that place we can do context.
2.Tooling for Business Process Management and Business Rules Management (since NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP 1).
Please look at more help from [SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1|] and look at this [forum|;
