GUID assignment - issue with PO preview

Hi All,

For a PO with multiple line items in SRM we see that the line item is not in sequence ,line items are displayed randomly in the PO preview

Desired preview wt we see

line item 1 5

2 1

3 2

4 4

5 3

Every line item will be associated with a GUID and we have seen that before displaying,sorting is done based on guid.

Can someone help me understand how the GUID assignment is done ?how does it get attached to a business object?is their a pattern followed?

I have observed the GUID before we started having this issue and i have noticed that the first 3 chars are the same for the line items.(series 4ED*)

Now when checking the GUID i see different pattern with every line item (34B,412,49A...)

Please advice.
