rfc error while opening query designer

installed sap gui 7.20 on my system to access sap ecc or BI.

now my issue is while opening bex query designer of BI. it prompts me

please suggest me what actions to be taken

check whether your gateway port 33NN port is enabled or not. this might be the one reason.

hi deepak and markus,

evarything is doing well.. i am to operate ECC and BI. i can navigate through all the screens

but the problem is i am not able to use query designer..even through query analyzer i am not able to navigate to query designer.

pls suggest me whether i have to do any modification after installing GUI

while executing rrmx in BI system it prompts me with status message as "please install excel as viewer"

the other thing i found is that applicaton server is working in past date..and i tried it by changing it to application server date.but still i face the same proble..

Hi Satish,

While we install SAPGUI we get some options, we need to choose BW and inside that we need to select the Buisness explorer options. RRMX picks the details from here.

Additionally we should have the Excell installed as the RRMX picks the details and put it in the excell for display.

Excell can be installed through MS Office on to your desktop or the server
