I have set new ECC6 system with EHP5. This means we run kernel 720. Now I noticed that I can not switch freely operational modes(I have feeling the cause are new dynamic workprocesses).
My feeling is that in case they are active I can not switch automaticly. I guess I have to wait they swith off or?
Also I guess in schedule of opperation mode waits dynamic WP to be off
Am I right?
Hi,
If it is netweaver EHP 2 then there is one big difficulty in the usage of opmodes in the release the functionality of opmodes (RZ03/RZ04) does not include the possibility to use a dynamic number of workprocesses in opmodes.
The config should be the same as the other netweaver releases i think.

What do you mean by "wait they swith off " ?
In note 1636252, it written:
==========================
5.6 Dynamic work processes (AS ABAP and Dual-Stack systems)
The 7.20 kernel supports the dynamic increase of the number of
work processes at runtime. However, this function is not fully
compatible with lower ABAP versions. To prevent errors from occurring,
deactivate it by setting the following parameters:
rdisp/wp_no_restricted = 0
rdisp/configurable_wp_no = 0
rdisp/dynamic_wp_check = FALSE <<<<<<<=========
