Installation LIve Cache/ Maxdb

Hi Experts,

I have requirement to install SAP SCM 7.0 on Oracle/linux and LIveCache 7.7.04/Maxdb

Is it possible to install two database and two application on same server?

while I am installing liveCache 7.7.04 on Linux it not looking for Maxdb and I did not even install the Maxdb on Linux But the live Cache installation got successfully installed . Can you please let me know when I need to install MaxDB.

Can you please let me know is Maxdb is required for Live Cache as well.

LiveCache and MaxDB are basically "the same", liveCache contains a few more libraries with application specific functionality but the database engine itself is identical.
