Hi All,
We have a business requirement whereby sales orders may be partially shipped but the sales order lines s MUST be shipped complete. We need complete delivery control at item level .
Our customer master setting is as follows :
Partial delivery per item : C ( only compete delivery allowed )
Max. Partial deleveries : 9
Currently it seems this setting is not working and system is creating two delerives on different dates for single line item. My requirement is to have single delivery for single line item. I am OK if system is creating two deleveries for two line items
Am I missing something somewhere?
Regards,
Nitin
Make Max.partial deliveries field as blank or 0 and test again.

Through standard settings, this cannot be achieved as the requirement is to have control at item level.
Either you can include this logic to your existing routine assigned in VTLA for your item category or try with suitable delivery exit

Hi Lakshmipati,
Thanks for your direction. We have confirmed through scenarios that system gives only warning message and not hard message about complete delivery in case total qty is no available on requested delivery date ( standard functionality ) however it will not stop delivery creation. This is exactly what happening in our case as we have job finctionality in place for delivery creation.
Our requirement is specific to only one customer so we are exploring further the routine developement to address this issue.
Once again thanks for your valuable inputs, I will get back to you in case of further help.
Regards,
Nitin
