Integrated ITS - Disable the "you have unread documents in you inbox"

Hello,

I would like to disable the pop-up box that displays "you have unread documents in your inbox" when using SAPGUI for HTML (ITS). I know that you can check a box in the ECC backend (t-code so16) that disables this for all users (both in SAP for HTML and SAP GUI). But I only want it disabled from within SAPGUI for html. If this is not possible, is there a way to disable it for only certain users or groups of users?

Using parameter in this note will suppress this. Would it be advisable to create a copy of the WEBGUI service and set it there rather than adjusting the default WEBGUI service.
