FM - PO commitment reduction

Dear Experts

I request your kind support on the bleow issue.

Our business is taking commitment and Acutal reports month/period wise( FMRP_RFFMTO10X - List ).

Once GR document is generated PO commitment reduction/cancellation line item (Amount type 200) is generated automatically in the PO commited peirod (commitment line item created period) NOT in GR FM actual document creation period.

Due to this FM commitment and actual report values are getting changed. For example.

Example:

1.PO is created April 2011, then PO commitment line item is generated in April period (01/2011)

2.GR document is posted in Aug 2011 month. Then, FM actual document (value type 54) is generated in the month of 08/2011.

Once GR is completed, automatically PO reduction/cancellation line item (amount type 200) is generated in month/period April2011.

Due to this if we take reports for April 2011 (01/2011) (before GR posting) the report is showing with PO commitment value only, but we take same report for April 2011 (01/2011) (after GR posting) the report values are getting nullified and showing zero (PO commitment value negative amount type 100 and PO reduction value positive, amount type 200).

Why the report values are getting changed?

If the PO commitment reduction line item generates in Aug 2011 (GR posting date), the report values willl not get affected.

request your kind support on the above issue.

Regards

Rao

Hi,

That's standard: commitment reduction occurs in the period of commitment creation if you don't activate PBET.

Hi Eli

Thanks a lot for your kind support,

But our Business is expecting to take month/period wise commitment and acutal reports.

As per your information if we activate PBET (OF39, Period Based selection) with posting date (value types 50, 51 and 54),

Can we meet our business requirement?

Your valuable inputs are appreciable.

Hi,

If you activate PBET, then reduction of commitments is posted in the period when it happened. Please, read carefully about PBET activation in help.sap.com. Once activated, you won't be able to deactivate it.
