PI AAEX 7.3 Java Only - Transport options

What are the transport options for PI 7.3 Java only deployment?

Is it possible to have CTS+ with this ?

Is there a SAP documentation on this? THe documents on the earlier versions such as 7.1 refer to ABAP stack also.

Hi,

I know that this is an old thread but I thought I would share our experience as I haven't found any threads that really answer this question for a single stack installation.

We have upgraded from PI 7.1 to PI 7.3 EHP 1 java stack only. Previously we had used CTS+ on our dual stack PI 7.1 system.

The available transport options were:

1. CTS+ - This was not a viable option for us. The PI system was java only ruling out locally implemented CTS+ and we don't have a three tier Solution Manager implementation so this was also unavailable to use to host CTS+.

2. CMS - This is the ioption that we implemented (in spite of the warning that CM Service should be used). It is working effectively and it was implemented using the instructions in the link below.

3. CM Services - Although when you access CMS it advises that CM Services shouild be used instead ( OSS Note 1287108 ) we were unable to work out how to integrate this into the Enterprise Service Builder and Intergration Builder.

4. Export/Import - Although the easiest option to utilise this was ruled out due to it's intrinsic lack of control.

I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has managed to implement CM Services and integrate the ESB and Integration Builder.

For those who are interested to know, In my current implementation we are using option one - CTS+ implemented in solution manager.

Can you please brief here steps for configuration with solman. I did CTS+ for PI 7.1 but no idea for 7.3 and also couldnt found any document.

Else if you have any link for configuration than pleaes provide me the same.

The PI 7.3 AAEX is on Java only. Most of the CTS+ talks about setting up ABAP side. That's why I am trying to find out how to set it for Java only system.

Any idea?
