HA Profile Parameters

Hi All

We have migrated our production BI System from Standalone to HA in Windows 2008 + MS Sql 2008 ( 64 bit) by using the System copy method, in that profiles parameters are same like standalone system or we need to add some more ? Could anyone pl share me, in this who already have experienced ?

Thanks for you information. since in the Windows cluster any time once of the node will be acting as either CI ( Enque,Message & Sql DB servers are running in the central instance) or applications instance in that case we need to set the both sap server profiles are should be same or different? because in our both server configurations are same,

Hi,

Ensure that you have updated profile parameters for CI, APP and DEfault profile available on both the nodes of Windows Cluster.

You can achive this my sharing the drive in the cluster configuration.

Refer installation guide for SAP installation on MSCS cluster.

Hi,

CI and APP server profile should be same in terms of memory parameters as when failover will happen other need should be able to cater the load. So, make sure memory parameters for CI and APP are up to date.

Hi,

If you have migrated with system copy method to HA then you need not to set any parameters manually except memory parameters (Change memory parameters if required).
