Hi,
We wish to restart the ICM (either soft or hard) and would like to take some tips if there wud be any impact on live communication channels during the ICM restart?

Ohh yeah i did some checks when posting this thread (ICM restart in XI) and all i could observe is the messages are errored as RETRY in queue which i can reproces it...but was confused if there wud be messages failing in moni.

do you talk about the ICM of ECC?
be careful if you have proxy exchanges between ECC and PI: coz during your stopt/start you could have data which cannot be distributed, and so in error in queue or in MONI (ECC+PI). So check that after the restart, and check also with business document, if you can restart the erroneous messaqge during the day, or at a specific period of the day.
I mainly think to: tx SICF > Service: default_host > sap > xi > engine.
do you use web service "ECC <-> outside"? if yes check with business.

My two cents....
This should not impact all the Communications but it will for HTTPS, HTTP and SMTP communicationfor sure.
