FormCalc vs JavaScript

Hi,

I am currently evaluating the scripting languages available in Adobe forms and I was wondering if anyone would mind sharing their experiences and learnings from using FormCalc and JavaScript.

I have seen the "Comparing FormCalc and JavaScript" topic in the Adobe LiveCycle Designer help so I am aware of the key differences, but I am now interested to hear people's opinions on the two scripting languages.

The things I am interested in are:

- When would you use FormCalc over JavaScript and vice versa?

- Which language is easier to use and maintain?

- Which is the more popular language to use?

- Is it better to choose one language and use it exclusively or is it better to use a combination of the two?

I'd also be interested to hear about any other lessons learnt from scripting in Adobe forms.

Hi,

As per the usage in print based forms,Java Script affects the performance when compared with Formacalc.for certain critical calculation like sub totals and carry forward Java script is used.based on requirement you have to usef both scriptings.
