Hi..
what is logical/virtual plant in sap?.What is the significance of of logical plant?.How to configure a logical plant?.
Please advise
Regards,
Venkatesh
Hi,
Logical plant means the transactions occur in this plant logically , not mandatory to have physical movements of stock. For example the customer is having plant in hyderabad and need to have transactions in banglore where there is no space to put the stock. In this case banglore plant acts as logical plant.
Virtual plant means, both physical and logical movements will be carried out. If you procure a material the stock can keep physically in this plant and accounting transactions will be carried out in this plant. The path way to create these plants is same in SPRO, but can give the description and parameters accordingly. Hope this will help you. Thanking you.

You can use one logical (R/3) plant to represent several physical locations.
