SPNego fails to load after update to EHP4 SP09

Year ago, to allow Single Sign-on from Windows 7 clients which are using the new RC4 encryption by default, we have implemented the new SPNEGO add-on solution as per Note 1457499 and this has been functioning very well.

However, after recent upgrade of our landscape from Netweaver 7 to Netweaver 7 EHP1 SP09 the SPNego stopped working and also the SPNego wizard in NWA fails to load with error message:

Cannot start plug-in. 
EXCEPTION
 com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Did not find component 'com.sap.security.auth.spnego.wizard.SPNegoWizard' in repository.

I have undeployed the SPNego add-on as stated in the recent revision of mentioned note, I have removed all references to the SPNEGOLoginModule in Visual Admin, but that didn't helped. The upgrade to EHP1 itself raised no error about this and everything went fine.

Any suggestions how to continue with this?
