Inspection lot for Production version ?

Hi Experts,

Can you please help me to understand the concept and business scenarios in which we create Inspection lot for Production version?

How it differs from inspection type 3.

Dear Saurabh,

inspection Lot for Production version is used in case of Repetitive Manufacturing, wher High volume and long term production of material is expected.

you can create production version using T-code C223. and create inspection lot using MFPR.

you can create several inspection lots for a production version. However, you can only process one inspection lot at a time.

Hi,

Production version is used when there are several ways to develop a material, it may be repeatative or say discrete, u may use it whereever u want. and MFPR is used to create lots against prodn Version.
