Difference in count of messages in Intgrn engine and adptr engine

Hi,

In RWB. the number of messages displayed in Integration Engine (database Overview) and Adapter Engine (database Overview) are different.

THe no of messages in IE is 38709 wer as no.of messages in adapter engine is 38692..

Does it mean the rest of the files are not delivered to FTP?

I dont see anyh error messages or queues in PI. So why is difference ?

Any help would be appreciated

Hello,

In RWB. the number of messages displayed in Integration Engine (database Overview) and Adapter Engine (database Overview) are different. 

This depends on a lot of factors, e.g

1.) Is sync logging on? If this is on, then any successful sync message will not be displayed in IE but is displayed in AE as two separate messages.

2.) Are you using Integrated Configuration? If yes, then this is also not displayed in IE but only in AE.

Hi,

remind PI course: when ECC sends data to PI by using IDoc / HTTP you do not use a Sender Communication Channel IDoc / HTTP, because for this communication the data is not sent to Adapter Engine.

So if in your project, you have such exchanges, according to me, that's normal to have not the same nbr of messages in IE overview and in AE overview.

Another reason, could be also if you have an error in IE like a mapping dump or a locked queue, so in that case, this message is not sent to adapter => IE = 1 message, but AE = 0.

Do not forget also, you have perhaps some flow like "1 -> N".
