Inspection Lot for each Handling Unit in Outbound Delivery

Dear Gurus,

I would like to know whether is it possible to create inspection lots for each HU in outbound delivery?

For example :

I create a Delivery Order for a material.

Then I pack this material into 3 handling unit.

When I do the PGI, I want the system to create 3 inspection lots (1 inspection lot for each HU).

I searched and found this in SAP website :

An inspection lot for the HU is automatically created for the following goods movements/events:
Packing of other goods movements (for example, outbound deliveries)
05

What should I customize and set?

checked default value of inspection type and set the inspection by HU.

and w.r.t it inspection type related config

I couldn't find Inspection by HU in inspection lot origin 10.

Since I am using inspection origin 10 to create inspection lot for outbound delivery.

Hi,

With this inspection type 10 it is not possible, Inspection with HU is only possible when u go to some stck relevant type of Inspection type.

Check in MM02 u may get the difference and exact solution.

Now I change the inspection lot origin and type to 05, and have successfully generated inspection lot with origin 05 when I create outbound delivery.

But I still could not create inspection lots for each handling unit even though I have checked the "Inspection with HU" in MM02, QM view.

Any advice?

It may work, please check ur settings properly during transfer posting and during delivery order posting.

I am able to create an inspection lot each for one delivery item number but not for each handling unit.

Let's say for example :

- I create an delivery order for a material (in one item number)

- Then I pack this material into 3 Handling Unit

- When I do the PGI, I want the system to create 3 inspection lots

But my current situation, the system only create 1 inspection lot with inspection origin 05.

Is there any customizing or something that I missed?

Here u may use shippment process in sd and configure it with QC, and use 05 and tick on indicator Inspection with HU.

I have done the configuration for QM in Inspection for Shipping and customizing for HU related to QM

Currently I am able to generate inspection lot with origin 05 for outbound delivery in SD, but still unable to create inspection for each HU even though I have ticked the indicator"Inspection with HU" in Material Master QM View.

Whenever I saved an outbound delivery, the system still create one inspection lot per DO item number, not per handling unit.

Is there any that I am missing?

Hi,

Dear as i told u that shippment in SD, means please goto, Logistic genral and in that goto Handling unit Measurement Node.

Check ur Config, if not than config as per ur requirement than use QM module and Inspection type 05 fand inspection with HU in MM02 or against inspection type in SPRO.

I hope now u first check and config it

I have checked and done the config for HUM (in Logistic - General) and QM (Inspection for Shipping).

I also have set the material master with inspection type 05 and tick the "Inspection with HU" indicator.

Below are my steps :

HUM :

1. Set QM Check and Delivery Type for Each Movement Type

2. Packing Control By Item Category

3. Delivery Type Determination

4. Maintain Allowed Goods Movements

QM :

1. Maintain Inspection Types

2. Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types

3. Define Default Values for Inspection Type

4. Inspection for Goods Movements

5. Inspection at Shipping

Material Master :

Assign inspection type 05 and tick the indicator "Inspection with HU"

Could you advise where I missed?

Or maybe could you help me with the configuration steps?

Now,

processed ur deleivery, and execute LT01 where u need to enter warehouse number and system ask u fro a different HU, i m not sure in this regard but after this only system will allows u a PGI. and u get different lots against thisa s per HU

Dear Guru,

I have tried with Tcode LT01 for these 2 days,

But I still couldn't create inspection lot for each handling unit.

Does this required to activate WM SAP module?

Because in this we don't implement WM module, and we do the delivery to customer with

standard SD shipping transaction.

Could you guide me step by step?
