Have you checked your environment variables set

ORA_NLS33

Also have you checked the Note 1478351 - Oracle 11g Support on UNIX: 6.40-Based SAP Systems

looks like DB issue.

- check env variable settings, with regard to database, i.e LIBPATH, dbms_type (SAP Note 602843)

- check out oracle client side. Make sure it is not due to incorrect or incomplete installation of the Oracle client software

- R3load -testconnect

- R3trans -d (run as sidadm, as compared to run as root ?)

- did you run sapinst as 'root or sidadm ?

- did you copy the installation media to local disk, and run installation from local drive ?

- check out SAP note #910639

Regards,

Vincent

Please replace the existing kernel to 640_EX2 for your platform , and then continue with the installation.

AS you are using newer version of OS and DB (with NW 2004) , hence you need to use the 640_EX2 kernel .

Please read the following SAP notes for more technical details .
