GRC 5.3 - RAR Dropdown boxes not dropping down

Hi,

I have a problem with some GRC RAR users when they click a dropdown box in RAR nothing happens. The only way they can see the various options is to use the arrow keys. IE8 is configured for Compatibility mode for this URL site.

Accessing GRC RAR via IE8 address

UserA on PC1 can use the RAR dropdown lists

UserA on PC2 can use the RAR dropdown lists

UserB on PC1 can use the RAR dropdown lists

UserB on PC2 cannot use the RAR dropdown lists

Workaround:

If UserB adds the URL as a favourite in their SAPGUI for the backend system & then clicks that favourite

UserB on PC2 is then able to use the RAR dropdown lists

Any suggestions to get the GRC RAR dropdown lists working from an IE8 address directly without have to go through the SAPGUI would be much appreciated.

Stephen,

Instead of using "compatibility mode" I prefer to use the first option suggested in this note:

Note 1347768 - Web Dynpro and Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8.0

I think is better to change this at server level instead of explain each user about the "compatibility mode"
