Incorrect SAPCRYPTO.SAR for Solution Manager 7.1 on Windows 2003 x64

I don't know if this belongs here or on the more general [Application Server » SAP NetWeaver AS, General|http://; forum, but I have the following issue when attempting to install Solution Manager 7.1 on Windows 2003 x64 using Windows 2008 SQL Server.

1) According to the PAM, this is a valid DBMS / OS combination for SAP kernel 7.20

2) When I search on the SWDC for SAPCRYPTO, I get amongst other entries, two SAPCRYPTO.SAR entries for Windows on x64, 64bit

3) However, when I try to use eaither of these in SAPINST, I get the same error, regrdless of whether I use the 7.20 version or the 7.20 EXT version).

4) I did try leaving the SSL Activation out, just to see what other issues I might get, but the java server won't start due to an SSL Activation error (which implies I need a valid SAPCRYPTO.SAR !!)

The 32 in the naming convention (SAPCRYPTOLIB_32_nnnn.SAR) makes me a little suspicious that these are in fact 32bit versions of the library. More to the point, where can I get a working 7.20 Windows x64 SAPCRYPTO.SAR from ?

thanks

Hi Martin,

During our Solution Manager 7.1 installation I used the corresponding archives from the below location:

http://service.sap.com/TCS -> Download Area -> SAP Crypto Library

Here the SAR and CAR archives exist for Microsoft Windows 2003 for x86_64. As mentioned in Note 455033, perhaps you could give these a try.

Srikishan
