Hello,

We are receiving the following error while performing the Database instance installation, error occurs in the post processing phase. We have detached, and reattached successfully.

Install CD’s were copied to local disk prior to running install.

BW database instance installation (post processing) error –

MSC-01002 Couldn't create package table, no packages found in: Z:\Data Files\BWP\data

ERROR 2006-09-01 13:07:32

FJS-00012 Error when executing script.

Does anyone have any ideas on what can be checked or any advice on how to get this resolved?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi,

Please log in with the <SID>adm user and try continuing the installation. That should work.I am assumning that you are using some administrator login to install the system but the administrator login is not getting permission to execute scripts in the DB.

Log in with <SID>adm and then continue the installation.Remember to select (continue old installation when SAPInst prompts you to do so.By default SAPinst is on "Run new installation" option

Take the space out of "Data files", that causes problems sometimes.

Further to the previous comment -

you may find that at the OS level only the account you started the install as can access the packages in "Z:\Data Files\BWP\data"

SAPinst is most likley running this failing process as <sid>adm which is secured out by ntfs or - is Z: a mapped network drive? if so it will only exists for the first account but not for <sid>adm

so by running as <sid>adm you will get around this, but it is best practice to fix the ntfs/mapped drive type issue and keep running the install as the original account
