Upgrade - Prepare phase - stuck at General Checks Jup

Hi all.. Below output of CHECKS.log

PhaseTypeCheckInstanceNumbers.java:67)#Java###The detected instance ID ID59836 and the one calculated from the box number ID40737 do not match. A possible reason for that is that you have changed the box number in the central instance instance.properties file.

Attempting upgrade of dual stack 6.40 to NetWeaver EhP 2. On Unix + Ora. Currently stuck at prepare phase(java) of upgrade.

Any suggestion would be great. Is it possible to only upgrade Abap stack? I believed previous system copy is the fault of the error.

Hi,

Correct the java instance id in the file instance.properties. Take restart of system.

Try with the prepare phase again.

All the .properties file are currently configured to the other instance id which is not calculated.

Hi,

Please make sure that instance ID should be same in the instance profile and config tool. If not then either change it in instance profile or config tool.
