RFCRADDBDIF_IND_IND ERROR

hi,

I am trying to install SAP 4.0b. During installation it gave RFCRADDBDIF_IND_IND error at 96% with the following log

Info: RFCRADDBDIF_IND_IND CRfcOpen

RfcOpen() was successful.

Warning: RFCRADDBDIF_IND_IND CRfcPing

Pinging of RFC destination failed.

Error: RFCRADDBDIF_IND_IND CRfcPing

pinging of RFC destination failed.

Error: RFCRADDBDIF_IND_IND InstallationDo

Phase failed.

Error: Main {}

Installation aborted.

I tried several times but still the same error. I did not understand why it is happening. How to solve this error.

I am able to log in the server thru front end and can execute any transaction.do i need to run any program to finish the installation completely.RFCRADDBDIF_IND_IND is not in library(SE38).

add the following parameter in S:\usr\sap\<SID>\sys\profile\DEFAULT.PFL

dbs/mss/server=<servername>\<SID>
