_fix_control parameter -> to be set

Hello Guys,

I need you support and advice on the following:

My EWA Report recommends:

Parameter FIXCONTROL

fixcontrol 5099019:ON

5705630:ON

5765456:3

6221403:ON

6329318:ON

6399597:ON

6430500:ON

6440977:ON

6626018:ON

6670551:ON

6972291:ON

7325 597:ON

7692248:ON

7891471:ON

9495669:ON

9196440:ON

The following table lists fixcontrol parameter settings to be activated in the system. For further details, check the recommended SAP Notes.

Settings recommended but not defined

Value

7325597:ON

If I check it on the system:

SQL> select bugno, value, description, optimizer_feature_enable from v$system_fix_control where bugno=7325597;

BUGNO VALUE

-

-

DESCRIPTION

-

OPTIMIZER_FEATURE_ENABLE

-

7325597 0

amend condition for 6120483 to require inlist index key

I do not understand, The parameter is set in the system, why the ewa is still showing and telling me : " Settings recommended but not defined "

Should the value be 1 instead of 0 ?

Thanks to advice,

J.

Hi Jordy,

Please verify that your pfile and spfile has this entry defined properly.

I assume there could be some syntax issue and hence system is not able to identify the same.

Hello deepakkori,

Hmm ... you are awesome.

I hope you are right.

Take a look at the spfile and pfile:

._fix_control='5099019:ON','5705630:ON','5765456:3','6221403:ON','6329318:ON','6399597:ON','6430500:ON','6440977:ON','6626018:ON','6670551:ON','6972291:ON','7325 597*

:ON','7692248:ON','7891471:ON','9495669:ON','9196440:ON'#SAP RECOMMENDED SETTINGS - LAST MODIFIED SAP_102044_201007

There is a huge space gap between 7325 and 597 ... do you think this is the problem ?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Jordy,

Yes the gap in the file is creating the issue. Please rectify the entry and ensure that there is no blank space between the values defined.

Perform the modification in pfile and create spfile again.

Hope this helps.
