DB02 - Increment By

Hi experts,

can someone explain me the field "Increment by" in transaction DB02 please.

I go to DB02->Platz->Tablespaces->Overview->Data/Temp. Files and there i can see the field Increment By.

I thought, that this is the size, which a data-file will grow.

But in DB02 it shows 64 000 and when I go to database (telnet) it shows 500 mb.

BTW: is there an guide for DB02?

Increment_by in DB02 is displayed in 8kb Blocks..

500Mb = 512000kb / 8 = 64000 (8kb) blocks

So your DB02 is working just fine

Hi

Increment by clause tells you how much your dbfile will grow in terms of next extent.
