We have a case in 4.7 where project managers need to access reports for a list of projects. Instead of having them create a variant for each report with the list of projects, I would like to employ either user variables or automatic variables. I have had success by going in and defining selection variables in TVARCV, but this is global and allows a user access to all other selection variables as well. A bit dangerous.
Our user variables are grayed out. Does any one know why. Has anyone had experience creating a central list of project ID's so that a project manager can move from report to report and not have to update all the variants individually.
