R/3 to XI TCIP Connection Error.

Hi,

I'm getting the following error while connecting testing TCP/IP connections to XI in SM59 on the R/3 side:

Connection error program 208_abcdef not registered / CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPECMINIT'#Transaction program

Any ideas? and explanations in general. I'm not very clear about how TCP/IP connection config is done between R/3 and XI.

Thanks,

Harsh

Hi,

Give the program Id in your communication channel then save and activate ur channel. Now test ur connection in SM59.

And also just see these steps that was mentioned in one of the Blogs.....Just see if it helps..

a. Make sure that the RFC destination is to be created in the R3 systems and not XI.

b. If in your adapter monitoring you find a message as 'Could not start server: Connect to SAP gateway failed' then try to replace the GWHost (gateway host) with the IP of the R3 system.

c. Check out the SAP note 730870 for the FAQ on the RFC adapter.

Abhy

Hi,

The error is some system program is not able to call because of the RFC program is not registered.

Check the RFC configuration in SM59 of R/3 system.

Have a look into these SAP Notes-

Hope this helps,

First make sure your program id matches between SM59 and your IB:config channel.

This blog is good:

Hi,

Basically, you need to have a Program ID in the SM59 configuration.

This Program ID should match the Int Dir comm chan (e.g. RFC sender) configuration.

Once the comm chan is activated, you should have a successful connection test in SM59.
