validations for proxy to file scenario

Hello,

I'm doing a proxy to file scenario DBM to ECC for creating a SO in ECC for a PO. I would like to know the different validation checks, errors and alerts to be configured in PI side for this scenario. Kindly elaborate and help...

Hi,

PI ALERT mechanism will cover handling IE,AE error,so confifigure alerts frame work,Data validation you can do it PI mapping level or you can do it Proxy program.

Proxy erros go for falut message configuration.

Hi Satish,

Firstly, why would you require a Proxy when we have Idocs which will do all validations and create SO. Your job will be only to map the file data into idoc structure.

If you have decided to use proxy, I assume you would call some bapi to create the SO.

Idocs would save you more time since it already has built in validations and error alerts.

Any reason on going for proxy?
