LANDSCAPE_FETCH Long running in Solman.

Hi ALL,

The Landscape_Fetch job is long runnung in my Dev solman system. I checked the SLD and its up and running . Also i checked JCo RFC which is good . What is strange is that this works fine if i restart my SLD .Then the Job runs fine for next few runs and again goes in RFC hold status (SLDAPI_XXX) . But when I check the RFC its working fine . SLDCHECK is also fine.

The trace dev_rd doesn't give much info related to the hung status.

I am not sure this is related to SLD or some gateway issue .

Please let me know if any of have faced similar issues.

Any help is much appreciated .

There are some simple steps to check why it is hanging and which managed system is causing it:

1.Goto T-Code SM50 and double click on the workprocess of the job

2.Then double click on the 'Conversation ID' highlighted in Green

3.Copy the host name of the server column (because Solman is calling the program in the managed system, hence the managed system is the server)

4.Search in the SMSY using the menu 'System Landscape' -> 'Select Object', paste the hostname into the 'Server' field and display

5.Use the 'Where-used' list to find which system using this hostname

6.Check if the system is still valid and can be connected via the RFC
