Java Engine not coming up

Dear Experts,

We have done the system copy using filesystems for the abap+java, abap engine is working fine but jave engine is not coming up. Could you please help in this regard to up and running java engine.

    • We have installed on the same host name (as source)

How much RAM is installed?

You require 8GB as a minimum.

What is the error message n java traces ?

Please paste some java error from the java trace for further check..

../<SID>/<InstID>/work/* (all dev_, std_ and jvm_* files)

../<SID>/<InstID>/j2ee/cluster/dispatcher/log/ (latest defaultTrace)

../<SID>/<InstID>/j2ee/cluster/server<n>/log/ (latest defaultTrace)

../<SID>/<InstID>/j2ee/cluster/instance.properties

../<SID>/<InstID>/j2ee/cluster/server0/version.txt

Hi,

Please change the Java VM parameters according to SAP Notes 831812.

Hi,

First of all this is not the supported method to do the system copy.

You need to login to config tool or offlineconfigurator and there you need to change reference to old IP address to new IP address.
