Hello,
I have a scm server on linux, and on an aditional server (also linux) the scm optimizer 7.02 installed.
On the optimizer server the directory of the gateway /usr/sap/GWP/G00/log is running full verytime, the application runns a CTM calculation.
During the run there is one log file increasing over 9GB.
How can i control the log level of a ctm optimizer run??
Are these big log files normal?
Is there a possibility to avoid logging?
Kind regards
Arne
Hi Aarne
Yes,it is possible...can you tell your SCM release?
Thanks and Regards

Dear Arnies
Got too busy with regular work...
I 'm giving you several options,to control 'logging' in CTM:
1) Just Go to the CTM Profile used, and swithch off logging --Check SAP Note:
1166935
2)De-select the explanation Tool too
(CTM Profile > settings > technical settings > Use planning
Explanation.)
3)CTM optimizer log staus can be switched off -refer SAP Note: 1073902
4)Check your log retention time... You can reduce it by setting a new 'Log Expiration in
date' in transaction /SAPAPO/COPT00 to lower than 14 days.(default)
Generally, you need to have all these logging enabled 'only for Trouble shooting'
Hence,Logs and Explanation Tools should be reserved for profiles in test
systems as they use lots of memory.
Wish you A Happy new year--..
Best Regards
Suresh
