CTS+ configuration for BIPortal system

Hi Everybody,

I am configuring CTS+ in my Solman(EHP1) system for the BI Portal landscape(NW 7.01 SP6). i went thro' some documents which gives guidence how to configure the Transport systems both in ABAP(Solman) and Java(BI Portal)

we have an exisiting Netweaver portal landscape which has already been configured with CTS+ . Now, i have obserevedthat the trans directory (usr/sap/trans) of EP system has been mounted in the Solman system under usr/sap/EPtrans.

1.is this mandatory in CTS+ confguration? if yes, do i need to mount my trans directory(usr/sap/trans) of BI Portal system in my Solman( CTS+) ?

2.do we specify/maintaine this mounted filesystem when we perform the CTS+ configuration?

can some one help me in understandind and completing my configuration?

Also, if you have comacross any good document in CTS+ config for Portal, please share it here.

Thanks,

Siva

Thanks sunny & siva i have followed the document and now in the middle of the configuration

I have mounted the BI /trans directory to Solman(CTS+) system. when i include BI development system in STMS it comes with the parameter value which is EPtrans directory. since TRANSDIR is a Global parameter.

If i enter the path of BI /trans , the same is getting updated for EP system also.if this is the case i can not have multiple /trans directory in my CTS+ system

please advice

1.Configured Java part for CTS+. Trying to Export and i view.i am getting error "no valid transport found, consult your system admin"

2.performing ITS connection test from Portal. getting the following error

An HTTP/S connection to http://<hostname>:8003/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap was not obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall.

I checked the ITS service in SICF, checked the HOSTS and SERVICES entry in the system. also,i checked with the network team and came to know that there is no firewall between these two servers.

please help me in resolving the issue

Hello Siva,

Please perform the following steps to check ITS connection from ABAP system.

SICF > Execute> default_host> sap> bc--> gui > sap> its> webgui> right click and choose Test Service.

Please compare the URL with the one you are accessing from Portal.
