Ability to increase recommended SAP Table Buffer based on t-code RZ10

Hello All - Was wondering about the following.

1) If lets say a default definition count parameter setting indicates 40,000 and I want to increase the size to 120,000, is this possible?

2) If possible to increase settings , what are the consequences (I.E...will this this impact, CPU, Server, etc?)

3) Is there an actual limit or transaction/way to find the SAP buffer limit in shared memory to ensure there is no over sizing performed?

Thanks

Ok closing based on my research

It is often not possible to set the size of a buffer so that it never becomes full. Above a certain size, which is greatly dependent on the hardware and the operating system, the performance advantage of the buffer is canceled out by increased operating system paging. A buffer that occupies too much main memory forces the operating system to perform expensive paging.
