Restricting Q info record access at plant level .

Dear All ,

Our clients wants us to restrict the access to Q info record only at the specific plant level . I.e. The user of a specific plant should not be able to create the Q info recrod for other plant .

We have noticed that presently no authorisation objects are available for qi01,qi02,qi03 where the restriction can occur.

Q_Material provides WERKS field but that doesnt restrict the authorisation

The other option of managing it at QM material authorisation in quality view ( QMATAUTH) does work but it is not practical in our case because of large number of materials and plants and users.

Can you suggest how this authorisation can be restricted at Plant level . Points will be generously awarded for a useful answer.

Please implement this BAdi, some information here:

The Business Add-In (BAdI) QB_Q_INFO_RECORD contains a method that is always called up when a user accesses the quality info record in read or write mode.

The four reference fields in the Q-info record - material, plant, revision level, and vendor - can be changed.

You are correct.

There is no authorization object for plant of transaction QI01/02/03 in SAP standard.

Unfortunately no customer exit but you can try implement the badi QB_Q_INFO_RECORD.

QM roles should be available for Q-info record.

Please check in Transaction S_BCE_68001420 - By Transaction Assignment for QI01/02/03 transaction.

Thanks for your response .

This transaction takes us to the same roles and authorisation screen as in SU01 and it shows the same objects that we have seen before .

Did you have some more value addition to make ? If yes . Please ellaborate and explain a little more .
