Hello Madhus,

Have look at SAP Note : 17163 with search term BR0235W. As it says

Explanation: The recommended number of overwrites for the specified volume (as defined in tape_use_count) has been exceeded.

User action: Do not use this volume for any more backups.

So you may change existing tapes with fresh ones and the try.

Hello Madhus,

Just you need to initialize all new tapes everyday for next day backup. If you don't initialize them then backups fails with mismatch of volume lable.

Hi,

You need to use new tape for the backup. As message suggest that tape_use_Count has been exceeded so you should not use that tape.

Thanks

Dear Durga,

you mean to just initialize tape by Using cmd brbackup -p initP01.sap -i -l E -v P01B08 only?

Thanks lot ..

Hello Madhus,

Why from command prompt?, there might me chance of typo issues. You can initialize from DB13 itself. After initialization volume lable will be assigned like SCRATCH name.
