OS support for ECC 5.0

Hello Everybody,

we have SAP ECC 5.0 on windows 2003 and SQL 2000 Platform.

We want to upgrade OS from windows 2003 to windows 2008 (64-bit) and

database from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 (64-bit).Please suggest is ECC 5.0

is supported for OS: 2008 and Database: SQL server 2005.

I have check the PAM also but not cleared about the same because in

matrix column heading windows 2008 "-" (dash) is marked and not

understand the meaning. I also want ask any installation media for ECC

5.0 available which is support on windows 2008 OS.

please suggest.

Hi Ganesh,

As per PAM following are the only version supported for ECC 5.0 for MSSQL database.

MS SQL SERVER 2000 WINDOWS SERVER 2003/X64 64BIT 24.10.2005 Released

MS SQL SERVER 2000 IA64 WINDOWS SERVER 2003/IA64 64BIT 21.06.2004 Released

MS SQL SERVER 2005 IA64 WINDOWS SERVER 2003/IA64 64BIT 06.04.2006 Released

MS SQL SERVER 2005/X86_64 WINDOWS SERVER 2003/X64 64BIT 06.04.2006 Released

Windows 2008 is not supported.

ECC 5.0 is not supported on Windows Server 2008, you would need to go for version upgrade of SAP if you wish to move to Windows 2008.
