How the material PRT issue/receipt to the network activity can be handled?

Hello all,

The dies can be used for the different processes in the shop floor. These dies will be managed in the stores. The stores representatives will issue the die to the shop floor for an activity of a network.They will return back the die once the activity is completed at that operation using the die. How to map this process in the SAP?

Please throu some light on this.

Dear Praveen,

You can create production resources/tools with the following categories:

· A material PRT has its own material master record with the view u201CPRTu201D. A material PRT can be procured, that is, it can either be purchased or produced. You can also keep it in stock and track both its value and quantity.

· A miscellaneous PRT has its own PRT master record and can neither be procured nor kept in stock.

· A document PRT has its own document info record, (for example engineering drawings or NC programs).You can manage these PRTs using the SAP document management.

PRTs belong to the group of operating resources. PRTs are involved in the production process. They are also used to support or to fulfill the prerequisites for performing a maintenance task.

Possible PRTs are, for example, tools, measuring equipment, drawings, NC programs, cranes.

You create the PRT as equipment by IE25 OR Choose Logistics- Project System-- Basic data----- Master data

In CA02 (Routing: Change) give the material , plant or the routing group and click enter.

In the shown header overview, choose the required group counter row and click on Operations Overview (F7)

Now being in the Operation Overview, select the operation row on which the PRT needs to be assigned.

And click on PRT icon (F8)

Here you have options to assign, material, equipment (testing fixtures or so), document or any other production resource tool as PRT to this operation.

Once this is done, any order created with this routing as reference will have this PRT assigned to its operation.

I have already referred that, but I could not find topic for monitoring the movements of the PRTs. Assignment of the PRT to the different activities or operations is one part, which is virtual.

But how about the actual movement tracking?

hi,

Their is no such different procedure for issue/recipt the PRT Materials as they are attachined to the Operations in the Routing as along the operation the Prt issue /recipt.it can track only thru PRT Usage Counter.
