IDoc packaging for Receiver Idoc adapter in 7.11

Hello Experts,

We are using PI 7.11. And, I have a File to Idoc scenario. I am trying to find an Idoc packaging option for Receiver IDoc adapter. I found this pod cast, which talks about Idoc packing but for the sender Idoc side. [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/00cb6c77-74f0-2c10-82a5-9ec2a7a5a391].

I did find this wiki article, [http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/FiletoMultipleIDOCSplittingwithoutBPM] which talks about a work around but, it was written in 2008 so, not sure if there is a standard, out of box way to do this now.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

Once you change the Idoc occurences PI will be able to send multiple idocs to SAP ECC...

if you want to process in sap ecc at a single shot then you need to change the partner profile configs where you need to set as collect idocs....instead of trigger immediately....

later you need to schedule a job (based on your requirement for the frequency of the job run) for processing all idocs received in SAP ECC...

if you are looking at sending bundled IDocs into SAP from PI, you can use the technique as mentioned in this blog -

this works for PI 7.11

Michael blog mentioned above would solve your requirement doing without bpm. I agree this.

Hi,

you can go with mesage packaging concept it is suitable for you requirement.

To understand how message packaging works, you need to know how message processing generally works in an SAP NetWeaver PI system.

1. If a message arrives at the Integration Engine, it is persisted in a message queue.

2. Then, the message enters the pipeline process.

3. After the process step is finished, it is stored in the message queue again.

4. The last two actions are repeated for each pipeline step until the message is eventually delivered to the receiver.

please go throug below blog,

ganesh.

Hi,

Without BPM you can collect multiple IDoc's and at one shot you send it to ECC, the condition for collecting is based on time ,message and payload.

suppose you want to send multiple IDocs for one source message then wiki approach is correct one. but you cant club more the one source message.

Raj
